NEW! Our Big Gig. – Friday 11th July at the Hall
Live music, workshop and an evening ceilidh with musicians from Feis Rois. Plus it’s all free! Our Big Gig is a national event across England and Scotland to encourage communities to get together through music. Thanks to funding from Creative Scotland and Superact, Strathglass is now one of more than 100 communities that will be staging its very own Big Gig.
Here’s what’s happening –
DRUMMING WORKSHOP WITH “GO DRUM”
A chance to learn and have a go at all kinds of different drumming styles. Time 2 – 4 pm.
For: Adults and children (over 8 years old) with up to a maximum of twenty participants.
CEILIDH WITH FEIS ROIS.
Time: 7.30 for 8pm start. The band will be playing until 9.15pm then a short break for (yes, even more music) with samba drummers before the ceilidh resumes. Everything ends at 11pm.
There will be refreshments, cakes tea and coffee on sale in the afternoon and burgers plus a licensed bar in the evening.
